  1. My username is jani2015. This evening I read that The Marthas are scaring Heather because they arent approving of anything she does. She brang beets and they said that she cant eat them. She also worked very hard on the posters and they said that a baby brother could do better than her. Clearly, they just want Heather to give up and not join the group. The setting has a large role in the problem with The Marthas. Highschool is where you are pressured the most and want to be accepted. Heather doesnt want anybody else in the highschool to give her a bad reputation so she does everything she can to join them.

  2. My username is sammy2015. Tonight I continued reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. On this side of the tape, Hannah talks about Courtney Crimsen. Hannah seemed to have been jealous of her since she speaks of how perfect she was bad that became a problem. A symbol I have noticed is school. All the people being mentioned in the tapes so far, go to her school. She died in reasons of the students. Maybe if she hadn’t ever gone to that school, she would have stayed alive.

  3. Arsh2015: In todays reading, Ida finally gets her first lesson from her mother, and she hates it. It’s worest than her regular school, and she has to do her homework while her mother is looking straght at her. Talk about being pressured. So far, I can tell that Ida is a free minded person. She doesn’t care about what others say or do, but her parnets force her to. Yes, they make her think about every time someone calls her a name, or does something next toher. I wonder what kind of childhood they had.

  4. My user name is jasonb2015. I am currently reading Behind You by Jacqueline Woodson. In tonight’s reading, Miah’s mom was talking about how she’s a writer, but now that Miah is dead she can’t focus in her work. Mom just really misses her son and there’s nothing on Earth that will replace him. As the story goes on, I’m starting to realize that Miah is a symbol of love. Ellie just can’t take off her mind of him. She just really misses him.

  5. Hello, I’m sp2015. I am still reading Slam! In tonight’s reading we learn more of Greg’s father’s drinking problem. It really effects Greg and his mother. I think the drinking problem Greg’s dad might be the results of some of Greg bad choices and horrid grades. Like Raymond’s Run, the narration is first person and uses extreme dilect. The narrator is Greg (Slam) Harris.

  6. lourdes2015: I am currently reading The Graveyard Book. Today I read about how Bod befriends a living girl called Scarlet. She meets him at the graveyard. When she tells her parents, they believe he isn’t real and just her imaginary friend. The literary element is characters because another character was introduced. Scarlet might become an important character since she has a friendship with Bod, the protagonist.

  7. mm2015: Tonight I continue to read Gossip Girl, by Cecily von Ziegsar . Tonight I read about how everyone has found out that Serena is back from boarding school. They all have questions as to what she’s doing back in New York , and why she’s back. If I were Serena, I would have stayed in boarding school instead of coming back to New York City. I would have stayed in boarding school because coming back to NYC is just gonna cause a lot of drama. I would have also stayed because if I had less drama in my life, then I would probably have a better education, which would probably mean going to a better collage.

  8. Hi I’m DD2015! Tonight I just finished Buggy The Clown by Eiichiro Oda. What I just finshed reading was that Buggy and Monkey were about to fight for the map, but it was to be continued. Monkey is real cofident that he is going to beat Buggy, but the problem is that he is so weak. I think even if he is so weak he might be able to beat him or someone is going to pop out of nowhere and help him. I can’t wait to read all of the other seires. They are very good. I would recomend it.

  9. angeline2015: Tonight i kept reading Ilike it like that by: Cecily Von Ziegesar. I read that when the girls and everyone else was sitting in the room Dan didn’t felt comfortable sitting down because he was scared the girls might do something to him. A theme in this story is having trust. This is a theme in the story because some of them don’t trust each other but the group of girls have learned to trust each other and now they hang out more often.

  10. ClarissaC2015:Tonight I continued to read Lush by Natasha Friend and Sam is starting to doubt that A.J.K. is a real person. She thinks that it is Charlie trying to mess with her head. So she writes a message back to A.J.K. asking who she really is. She doesn’t tell but she does tell that she isn’t phony. The conflict is still that her father is an alcoholic and he has been getting worse and worse. I think it has been getting worse because, he has kept promising that it’s going to get better.
